Home Run Derby

I hate the Home Run Derby.  I find it boring.  I used to enjoy it when I was younger, but it just can’t hold my attention.  I did watch tonight to see Cutch hit.  I was rooting for him not get embarrassed and to bow out early.

Got both.

I was glad he hit those two HRs with no outs left to give.  I love the guy.  He’s a line drive hitter and I didn’t want to see him get a hitch in his swing heading into the 2nd half of the season.  Seems past HR Derbies have caused guys to punch themselves out with too many swings in too short a time frame and they struggle to regain their groove once real play returns.

I will watch the All Star Game.  I enjoy it.  Plus, we need to the NL to secure home field advantage for the Pirates in the World Series.
